Another 6-Year-Old Caught With A Handgun At A School In Virginia (Watch Video)

Norfolk, Virginia Another 6-year-old was discovered in Virginia at an elementary school carrying a pistol.

Mom of the young student now has to deal with the repercussions.

Following an investigation that revealed her son carried the gun to Little Creek Elementary School on Thursday, Norfolk police detained Letty M. Lopez, 35, on Friday.

 

Police were called to Little Creek Elementary School, which is located at 7901 Nancy Drive, on February 16 at around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a student with a weapon there.

Administrators at the school handed the pistol over to the police when they arrived. No reported injuries from the event, according to police.

Lopez is accused of enabling children’s access to a loaded pistol and aiding in the delinquency of a juvenile.

Lopez was freed on a summons for criminal activity.
