The Land of Goshen Cathedral, a branch of the Celestial Church of Christ in Lagos, Nigeria, has drawn criticism for bringing street-hop artist Portable and Fuji musician Pasuma to perform at its Ankara/praise night event. Several Nigerians have taken to social media to voice their criticism of the choice, claiming that secular musicians shouldn’t be invited to a religious gathering.
The church’s official Facebook page posted a flyer that included popular musicians and hinted at their potential performance on December 15, 2023. The post caused a stir on social media.
