Woman begs to be amputated after scratch she sustained during fishing trip led to 55 surgeries
A mother of two from the UK is requesting to have her leg amputated after suffering 55 surgeries, losing half of her thigh, and being scratched during a fishing trip.
During a trip with her brother Martyn in 2019, the woman was scratched by a fishing line and became ill as a result. She is now pleading with the surgeons to amputate her right leg completely.
“I’m tired of living my entire life in the hospital,” 40-year-old Michelle Milton bemoaned to SWNS.
On the first day of the fishing trip, she slid on some rocks, piercing her right thigh with part of the nylon line in her front pocket.
Milton went to Basildon University Hospital after her leg began to swell and she started feeling feverish.
