#VGMA24: Black Sherif Reacts After Winning Artiste Of The Year Award
Black Sherif, a musician from Ghana, won Artiste of the Year at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which were held on Saturday at the Grand Arena.
Following victories over Piesie Esther, King Promise, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Camidoh, and KiDi, the 21-year-old was awarded the coveted prize.
Black Sherif, real name Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, began singing out his rendition of the classic song “Baa He Ote” by veteran singer Adane Best as soon as he received his medal and did so before making his acceptance speech.
He announced the release of a future album after performing a well-known passage from the song and dedicated the victory to his parents, family, and the entire Konongo Zongo.
