Slow Down, Your Time Will Come – Yul Edochie Reacts To Late UNIPORT Student Killed By Boyfriend
Actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie, from Nigeria, responded to the death and dismemberment of Justina Otuene Nkang, a UNIPORT student, on Instagram. Her lover is suspected of doing this for financial rituals.
Recall that Damian Okoligwe, her boyfriend and a 400-level student at the same university, was paraded for the heinous murder.
Yul Edochie responded to the news by advising young people in Nigeria to temper their desire for money and other material possessions. He went on to say that some of this might be attributed to those who flaunt their money on social media.
He pressed on to argue that most supposed wealthy people on the internet are not actually as big as they are portrayed to be.
Yul, an alumnus of the institution insisted that grades should be the priority in school and not flashy lives and chase for material things.
“I saw a story about a young guy who killed his girlfriend and it really broke my heart. At that age, what you should be focused on is your grades and not this whole love for material things. Young people these days, slow down; all these material things don’t matter. Any car you see today driving you nuts, give it a few years, you won’t be able to look at it,” he said in part.
