“She is our good customer” – Market women who accused Lizzy Anjorin of stealing gold jewelry make U-turn, says she’s innocent (Video)
Market women have backed down from their first accusations that Yoruba actress Lizzy Anjorin stole gold.
After Lizzy Anjorin was purportedly caught stealing N91k worth of gold from a Lagos Island market, she became the talk of the internet. She allegedly used a fictitious transfer to obtain the jewellery.
Social media users have been sharing a video of several marketers making a ruckus while accusing a movie celebrity of stealing. Lizzy was observed sitting and making an effort to defend herself at a store. She had a face mask on.
Lizzy, however, addressed the allegations, stating that the incident involves an alleged unsuccessful transfer of N91,000 that she made to a seller of accessories on Tom Jones Street in the Idumota area of Lagos.
In a recent development, the market women retracted accusations against Lizzy Anjorin, describing her as their valued customer.
They went ahead to prove Lizzy’s innocence, revealing that they don’t sell gold in their store.
