Following Saturday’s general election, Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, is in the lead.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, announced aggregated results in 20 states as of Monday night.
With 5,862,453 votes, Tinubu is in the lead. Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, has received 4,288,434 votes.
With 2,834,932 votes, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) is currently in third position; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) received 1,315,549.
It’s interesting to note that Tinubu is the only leading candidate to lose his home state, losing Lagos to Obi. In Katsina, the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari, Atiku won.
The Federal Capital Territory’s, or FCT’s, results will also be released today starting at 11 a.m.
