NSCDC arrests two members of cyber crime syndicate in Abuja
Two members of a cybercrime ring who were experts at posing as NSCDC officers and other government officials have been detained by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Henry Ushie Odep, 34, and Emmanuel Ushie Odep, 23, are suspects. They are brothers from Cross River State. The NSCDC FCT Command, along with the Delta and Anambra State Police Command, conducted a well-coordinated covert operation that lasted for seven months.
On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, cautioned all cybercriminals who specialise in scamming people to cease or be prepared to face the long arm of the law. She was parading the suspects at the Command Headquarters at Wuse, Zone 5.
