Man Nabbed Carrying Passengers With Tricycle He Stole In Yola
Suleiman Auwal, 25, was detained in Yola, the capital of the Adamawa state, together with a stolen tricycle known as Keke Napep.
Since Keke NAPEP is the sole form of intracity transportation used in Yola, it is incredibly well-liked by locals.
According to information obtained by Dailypost on Tuesday, Auwal is accused of stealing a tricycle last Friday from the main shopping center in Jimeta, taking it to Jambutu, a neighborhood just a few kilometers away and located in the same Jimeta area of Yola, and using it to transport people there.
He was spotted with it, and the Adamawa State Police Command took charge of it.
Operatives of the command picked him up and Auwal, who resides in a part of Jambutu called Aso Rock, confessed to the crime.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, he confessed that he made away with the tricycle, now known to belong to one Abubakar Usman, at the Juma’at Mosque in the Jimeta Ultra Modern Market.
