ISWAP executes abducted policeman in Borno, frees his family members
A police officer who was kidnapped along the Damboa-Biu Road in Borno State has been executed by the Islamic State in the West Africam Province (ISWAP).
Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad, was notified by trustworthy sources that the police officer, along with his wife and kids, was travelling from Damboa to Biu for the Eid break on Sunday, April 7, at approximately 1000hrs. Regrettably, they used an unapproved route.
Subsequent reports stated that the police officer and his family were kidnapped by alleged ISWAP terrorists in the Shokotoko general region, which is roughly 73 kilometres south of Damboa.
In Borno, ISWAP kills a kidnapped police officer and releases his relatives.
But the policeman was put to death later that night, and the wife and his kids were freed.
