Yobe State’s First Lady, Gumsu Abacha, has officially announced her divorce from Governor Mai Mala Buni.

The late general Sani Abacha’s daughter, Gen. Sani Abacha, disclosed her divorce in response to a fan who referred to her as the “First Lady” on her former Twitter account, X.
Gumsu declared that she was emancipating and liberated as she shared a picture of herself.
She wrote, “Emancipation…Liberation.”
In the comment section, she was referred to as the first lady of Yobe state, but Gumsu categorically stated that she was not married.
She replied: “I am not Married.”
According to Daily Nigerian, an inside source also confirmed that the marriage ended some months ago.
Buni married 45-year-old Gumsu Abacha on April 14, 2021, who was previously married to a Cameroonian billionaire, Bayero Mohamadou.
