Goat ‘arrested’ for attacking dog and primary school pupils in South Africa
After attacking a dog and some students, a male goat named Akmed had to be forcibly removed from a house in Mt View – Verulam, KZN, South Africa.
In a statement released on Friday, April 26, 2024, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) stated that a caller had requested assistance, prompting the dispatch of its officers to the suburb.
She reported that her dog was being attacked by a goat to the Operations Centre.
Reaction Officers were notified that the goat had assaulted multiple students on their way to a primary school when they arrived at the scene.
Reaction Officers removed the animal after several unsuccessful attempts to locate the owner.
The goat was transported to the RUSA Headquarters.
In an update, RUSA said the goat has been handed over to its owner.
