Five Candidates Will Be Interviewed By Chelsea When Potter Is Fired.
After firing the Englishman on Sunday, Chelsea intends to interview at least five candidates for the position of Graham Potter’s replacement.
After parting ways with Potter on Sunday night, the West London club is looking for a permanent replacement.
Potter took over as Chelsea manager less than seven months ago; he was temporarily replaced by former Brighton midfielder Bruno Saltor.
The Chelsea management is apparently willing to hold off on choosing the club’s new permanent head coach until the conclusion of the 2022–23 season and is eager to interview at least five candidates, according to the Daily Telegraph.
According to the source, former Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino and former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann will be interviewed by Chelsea sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, who have been given responsibility for the hiring process.
Others include Luis Enrique, the former manager of Barcelona, Luciano Spalletti, and at least one other possibility.
