Fake EFCC Chairman Arrested In Abuja (Watch Video)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, has detained Salman Umar Hudu, 38, in Abuja.
On February 14, the suspect was apprehended at a hotel for impersonating the EFCC’s Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, as well as other Commission officers.
According to a statement from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the suspect got N100,000 from a person he persuaded to believe he could “manage” any issue with the EFCC.
The fact that the suspect provided complete information and will consequently face charges in court was also disclosed.
The statement continued, “The suspect has provided important information and will be charged to court upon completion of the inquiry.
