EPL: Todd Boehly Is Instructed To Name An Ex-Chelsea Coach As The New Manager.
Richard Keys, a well-known British broadcaster, has pleaded with Chelsea’s hierarchy, led by Todd Boehly, to choose Jose Mourinho as the Blues’ new manager.
Keys thinks Mourinho, who has previously led Chelsea twice, is the greatest person to lead the team at Stamford Bridge.
Boehly fired Graham Potter last Sunday, only a few months after appointing him as the club’s head coach in west London.
“Potter’s dismissal was both necessary and unavoidable. It was a mistake to fire Tuchel, not to fire him, Keys wrote in his blog.
“Potter will return, maybe to a city like Leicester,” Keys continued. Or perhaps Southampton, as I proposed a few weeks back.
It seems like Chelsea wants to take its time hiring a new manager. Is that a result of their willingness to wait for Mourinho? Don’t rule it out if they wait until the end of the season to make an appointment.
