EPL: Luis Enrique Sets Three Requirements For Chelsea’s New Manager
According to reports, Luis Enrique, the former manager of Barcelona, has asked the Chelsea hierarchy to accept three requirements before he can take the helm of the Blues.
After removing Graham Potter as manager last Sunday, Chelsea is eager to name a new leader.
Enrique and a few other notable coaches have been mentioned in connection with the Chelsea position.
The former Spain coach took a flight to London to meet with the Chelsea board about Potter’s replacement.
However, according to Fichajes, Enrique wants the West London club executives to give him three new top-tier signings. Enrique has emerged as one of the front-runners to become the new head coach of Chelsea.
In addition to a midfielder who can play with Enzo Fernandez and a mobile center striker, he also wants a flexible winger who would allow him to experiment with different formations.
Enrique also wants Chelsea to allow him ample time to instill his idea of play. Finally, he wants to reduce the size of the team because he does not want a big team.
