Elon Musk Reveals He’s Hired New Female CEO For Twitter
Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has revealed that he has appointed a woman to succeed him as the platform’s new CEO.
Musk revealed that Twitter would restart operations in six weeks after he purchased the company in October 2022.
‘Excited to announce that I’ve a new CEO for X/Twitter,’ he tweeted. She will begin in about 6 weeks!
My position will change to that of executive chair and chief technology officer, with responsibility for managing products, software, and sysops.
The name of Musk’s next CEO is still a mystery. Since purchasing the company for $44 billion, he has laid off almost 70% of its employees, including its entire leadership team.
Aside from running SpaceX and Tesla, Musk also serves as their CEO.
Tesla’s stock allegedly increased by more than 2 percent shortly after the announcement, indicating that investors were satisfied with the decision.
In April, a number of shareholders publicly pushed the board to guarantee that Musk spent more time on the business.
They had grown “increasingly concerned with governance and leadership issues at the company,” according to the letter.
