Dirco Says SA Teacher Allegedly Assaulted In Chinese School Abroad Now Safe In Germany (Watch Video)
An English-speaking South African kindergarten teacher who was allegedly assaulted by the school’s human resources manager has safely left China and is currently in Germany. She had been teaching English in Shanghai.
Nolusindiso Hleko, a veteran English teacher who had previously taught in Busan, Korea, filmed a video recounting her terrifying experience there, which saw her fleeing the school without her phone, valuables or shoes. She was left with a blue eye following the incident.
After leaving the school, she claimed that she was able to locate a Chinese woman who helped her call the police.
During an argument, the HR manager hit me in the face. He took my phone and said he didn’t have it anymore after punching me and I was screaming to leave his office, Hleko stated in a video uploaded to her YouTube page.
