Breaking: Chelsea Sack Coach Graham Potter
Graham Potter has been fired by Chelsea, the club has revealed, following Saturday’s defeat to Aston Villa.
On Sunday, Chelsea announced that the manager had been let go.
In a statement, Chelsea FC stated that Graham Potter has left the organization.
“Graham has committed to work with the Club to make the transfer go smoothly. Graham has guided the team during his tenure with the organization to the Champions League quarterfinal, where we will play Real Madrid.
Graham’s work and contributions are appreciated, and Chelsea wishes him luck in the future.
After the Blues were defeated 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, dropping them to 11th in the standings, Potter faced intense pressure.
Potter expressed his reaction to the defeat at Stamford Bridge by saying, “I don’t want to blame anybody, I have to take responsibility.”
The former Brighton manager added, in response to the boos from the crowd: “We can sense the sorrow of the supporters… I am aware that when a team loses at home, there will likely be disappointment, annoyance, and anger among the fans.
