Bobrisky Sentenced To Six Months In Prison With No Option Of Fine
Cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was sentenced to six months in jail without the prospect of a fine by Federal High Court Justice Abimbola Awogboro in Lagos.
The verdict was delivered on Friday, April 12.
According to The Nation, the infamous transvestite entered a guilty plea to the allegation of misusing naira.
On Thursday, April 4, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed six counts of money laundering and naira abuse against him.
On Friday, April 5, EFCC arraigned Bobrisky in court on a six-count charge ranging from Abuse of the Naira and Money laundering.
The court, however, dismissed the money laundering charges but convicted him for Naira Abuse after he confessed to the crime.
