A Virginia Lady Texts Her Ex-Boyfriend Happy Birthday, Before Going To Louisiana To Murder Her Ex-Boyfriend (Watch Video)
Before allegedly getting in a car to kill her ex-boyfriend hundreds of miles away, a Fredericksburg woman texted him a good birthday message.
Erinn Ohse, 25, and her current boyfriend Andrew Poindexter, 26, are accused of making the trip from Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Louisa, Virginia, on March 29, 2022, with the intention of breaking into the home of Ohse’s ex-lover.
The couple were unable to enter through the front door, forcing Ohse to shoot repeatedly into her ex-bedroom boyfriend’s window, injuring a woman inside, according to the Louisa Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
When the home’s occupants dialed 911, Ohse and Poindexter fled and started a high-speed chase with the police that occasionally approached 120 mph.
Prosecutors claimed that Ohse and Poindexter were ultimately caught with a pound of marijuana in their car. It has since come to light that Ohse previously dated her target, which ended more than a year ago.
On February 15, Ohse entered a plea of guilty to numerous crimes, including attempted second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the conduct of a felony, and attempted armed burglary.
In addition to being found guilty of marijuana distribution-related counts, Poindexter also admitted guilt on many of the same offenses as Ohse.
These two believed they were the modern-day Bonnie and Clyde, but now they will have to deal with the severe penalties associated with violent crimes in Louisa County, according to Louisa Assistant Attorney Alex Goodman.
Poindexter could spend up to 70 years in prison, while Ohse could spend up to 63.
