Young Graduate Who Was Best Student In School Becomes A Truck Pusher For 20 Years, Seeks Support (Watch Video)
An intelligent and diligent guy named James Kwesi Tawiah, who graduated first in his junior high school class, has been pushing trucks for more than 20 years. He aspires to acquire a job so he can leave the low-paying job he’s had for the previous 20 years.
James Kwesi Tawiah, a responsible young man from Ghana, has acknowledged that he has been pushing vehicles for more than 20 years despite doing everything perfectly. In an interview with YEN.com.gh, James acknowledged that he was the top student overall at Manhean JSS in Tema New Town when he graduated in 2008 with high hopes for success. Even after finishing his education to improve his employability, he is still forced to work pushing trucks for a living, which is a low-paying job.
James went on to say that one of his dreams was to work for the police, but that since 2012, all of his attempts to do so have failed.
My dream work is to be in the service work especially police service but luck has eluded me ever since I tried brought those forms to get myself into the service since 2012. Is like I won’t be able to realize my dream,”
At age seven, James lost his father, being the breadwinner of the family, the death came as a rude shock to the entire family, affecting all spheres of their existence. His family condition forced James to quit the private school he was attending to sit at home until a savior showed up. He is the 9th of 10 children.
James opted to take action for himself rather than wait for whoever would arrive after seeing no light. At that point, he decided to push a truck to assist his widowed mother in caring for his other siblings. James returned to school after two years of pushing trucks and saving some cash. He applied for admission to Tema Manhean School. His friends were in classes ahead of him by that point. He had to leave school as soon as it ended so he could go push his truck, thus he had no opportunity to interact with other students. That was the only way he could acquire some cash for the following day’s classes.
He suffered through Manhean School in this way, but despite everything, James ended up being the top student. He went on to Tema Technical Institute to teach fabrication and welding.
James claims that despite the difficulties he has encountered in life, he has maintained his self-discipline and has not given in to peer pressure.
