After posting a video of herself praying for Nigeria in Jerusalem, Idowu Philips, a seasoned Nollywood actress better known by her stage name Iya Rainbow, received criticism from fans and fellow industry professionals.

In the Instagram video she shared, she was seen with her hands up in prayer close to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. “I’m in Jerusalem all due to you Nigeria,” she wrote as her caption.

She quickly received feedback from her supporters and coworkers, some of whom commended her for her dedication to praying for the country and others of whom reprimanded her behavior.

“Prayer ya been prayin’ since 1945. We need to pray to Ogun Lakaye this time. He answers prayer faster than odd Jesus,” one follower remarked.
