Video: Haiti Crisis – Mob Burns Suspected Gang Members To Death In Haiti

 

13 people who were apprehended by police as they searched a vehicle have been beaten and burned to death by a crowd in the capital of Haiti.
The accused allegedly endured beatings with tires doused in gasoline before being set ablaze in Port-au-Prince on Monday.
Just prior to the event, according to police, they had guns taken from them.
They have not disclosed how the public came into possession of the suspects.
Since the president of Haiti, Jovenel Mose, was assassinated in July 2021, Haiti has become more and more lawless.

 

In a report released on Monday, the UN claimed that the capital’s level of insecurity had surpassed that of war-torn nations.
Armed gangs are still vying with one another to control more territory, and conflicts with the police and other gangs have “become more violent and more frequent,” according to the report.
According to the UN, gang violence killed close to 70 individuals between April 14 and 19, including 18 women and two children.
The violence has forced the closure of numerous health centers, schools, and other facilities. It has also restricted access to numerous commodities and services.
According to the study, “the people of Haiti continue to experience one of the worst human rights crises in decades and a serious humanitarian crisis.”

Prime Minister Ariel Henry has been in charge of the Caribbean country since Mose’s murder, but he has failed to control the gangs, which now reportedly control 60% of the capital.
Mr. Henry and UN representatives have frequently demanded the deployment of a global force to support police in their conflict with criminal gangs.
No nation has volunteered to head such a force thus far. Canada has been under pressure from the United States to take on the position, but Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has so far refused.
According to Mr. Henry, ensuring security is essential to allowing for the holding of long-delayed elections.
