Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona will not play in the El Clasico due to a hamstring injury he sustained on Sunday against Almeria.
Lewandowski’s injury was acknowledged by Barca in a statement on Monday.
It said: “Robert Lewandowski, a member of the first team, has a strained left hamstring. He’s out, and his availability will depend on how well he recovers.”
The first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal between Poland and Real Madrid is scheduled for Thursday without the striker.
Lewandowski has scored 25 goals in 31 games for Barcelona this season, which is the most in the team.
Moreover, Pedri and Ousmane Dembele won’t be available for the match for the Catalans.
