Ex-Fairmont Heights Sentenced For Having S3x With A Lady While In Detention (Watch Video)
The former Fairmont Heights police officer sentenced for having sex with a woman while she was being held in custody.
A jury Wednesday acquitted former officer Martique Vanderpool of second-degree rape after he was accused of raping a 19-year-old woman after a traffic stop.
However, Vanderpool was judged responsible for having sex with the teenager in a deserted police station.
According to a statement made on Wednesday by the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office, he could spend up to three years in jail with credit for time already served.
In January, Vanderpool was held responsible for detaining a lady after a traffic check and having sex with her at the police station.
In accordance with arrest records from the Prince George’s County Police, on September 6, 2019, just before midnight, Vanderpool and a different officer stopped the victim in the Landover region.
After the victim informed the cops that she was driving without a license, the officers reportedly threatened to impounded her vehicle.
According to the story given in court filings, when Vanderpool saw condoms in the victim’s car’s armrest, he asked if she was a prostitute and that they could “figure something out.”
What are we going to do about this, Vanderpool allegedly said at the station. Additionally, he allegedly threatened to put her in jail unless they had sex.
The victim was held captive until she allegedly complied with Vanderpool’s requests, despite her fears for her safety.
Vanderpool apparently called to have her car picked up after the incident, and then she walked out of the station.
“Mr. Vanderpool was initially accused of first- and second-degree rape. We regret that the jury did not find all of the charges to be true, but we accept their judgment.
But regardless of their occupation, it is our responsibility to hold offenders accountable and work for justice on behalf of our victims. The State’s Attorney, Braveboy, stated, “And that is what we did in this case. “I am so proud of this courageous victim for speaking up and having the guts to tell her story.
