Children Of The Corn, A Brand New Hollywood Horror Film Is Being Demanded To Be Banned By Incensed Nigerians
Due to the release of the Hollywood movie Children of the Corn, Nigerians have gone to social media to spread the word.
On March 21, a movie advertising page declared that the horror film had opened in theaters, but it received a flood of responses that it had not expected.
Following the announcement, Nigerians using the microblogging platform swamped the comment section with requests that the film not be released in the nation’s theaters.
This is due to the name “Agbado,” which is Yoruba for corn and was made popular by Bola Tinubu, the president-elect and former candidate for the APC, who mentioned how it might be supplied to young people who would be enlisted in the military while he was running for office.
Some exploited it as an internet joke and quip, but the movie’s premiere, which occurred after Tinubu won the presidential election, left people with a bad taste in their mouths.
Some demanded that it be canceled or banned on Nigerian soil, while some saw it as material that could be exploited to create jokes online.
Why are Nigerians reacting to this movie differently 😅
